Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
EMDR is an innovative treatment that is highly effective, efficient, and one of the most researched therapies for trauma treatment. EMDR uses rhythmic eye movements or other forms of bilateral attention to assist the brain in unlocking memories associated with trauma, which are contributing to symptoms and emotional distress. It allows you to process traumatic memories without needing to relive the experience with a lot of language, which can be less distressing for survivors.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is typically a brief and solution focused approach designed to equip you with tools to address current challenges. Together, we will explore how your thoughts, feelings, and emotions affect your behavior, and work together to reframe these to increase positive change. CBT is usually a short term therapy that addresses issues in your current life. It has proven to be an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, OCD, and more.
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)
(SFT) is a short term therapy that focuses on specific problems, and the goal is to work together to find solutions for these very specific issues. Solution-focused therapy doesn’t require a deep dive into your childhood and the ways in which your past has influenced your present. Instead, it will root your sessions firmly in the present while working towards a future in which your current problems have less of an impact on your life.
Psychoanalytic Therapy
Psychoanalytic therapy is a longer-term therapeutic approach focused on surfacing deeply buried thoughts and emotions. By bringing forth repressed experiences, often from childhood, we create space for exploration and understanding. Together, we explore how these early memories influence your worldview, thoughts, behaviors, and adult relationships. This introspective journey fosters insight, growth, and a deeper understanding of yourself, ultimately leading to a greater sense of self-awareness and purpose.

― Maya Angelou
During our sessions, I'll meet you where you are in your journey, and together, we'll develop a treatment plan specific to your concerns, symptoms, and challenges. You are the expert on your experiences, and I deeply respect and trust your insights into what's best for you. I'm here to provide guidance and support every step of the way. Although many of your desired therapy outcomes might change over time, many clients come to me seeking support to navigate challenging emotions, gain or regain a sense of self, move beyond the impacts of trauma, and cultivate a more fulfilling life. If you're not quite ready to do trauma work, we will still work together to find ways to reduce symptoms, manage stress, or address any other challenges.
My aim as your therapist is simple: to support you in becoming the best version of yourself beyond trauma. Being a trauma therapist is not only personal, but I truly feel this is my life’s work and witnessing client’s growth and transformations fuels my passion and further affirms this profound calling. I believe everyone deserves to live a fulfilled life; I am a BIOPIC and LGBTQ+ inclusive and affirming therapist committed to creating a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for all so you can be authentic and focus on healing.
Prior to starting my private practice, I've worked in group private practice, counseling survivors of domestic and sexual violence, behavioral health hospitals, and other helping roles. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from UT Arlington and obtained my Bachelor's in Public Health from SFASU. To rest and recharge, I enjoy reading, being in nature, and spending time with friends and family. If you believe we might be a good fit, please reach out and schedule a free consultation.
